Get to know the Australia-Sweden alliance that is Kate Boy before their debut album drops.

Sweden-based synth-pop troupe Kate Boy has been dropping icy and anthemic post-Knife material since way back in 2012, but now the trio is finally ready to release a debut album. The group announced first full-length ONE will arrive in November, and to go with the announcement, they’ve released new song “Midnight Sun.”

In a Facebook post, the band says it’s “a song we wrote in the middle of winter here in Sweden, dreaming of the summer days we now have.” Lead singer Kate Akhurst delivers another batch of her impassioned pop proclamations while Hampus Nordgren Hemlin and Markus Dextegen deliver a rush of synth washes and warped electro percussion.

The track was self-produced with an assist from Christoffer Berg (The Knife, Depeche Mode). Hear it below.
