M.I.A. & Gener8ion's "The New International Sound, Pt. II"
Watch the artful combat in the video for M.I.A.'s collab with French techno project Gener8ion.

In recent months, M.I.A. has been trickling out new information regarding some sort of multimedia project that she’s working on. All last week she posted some home videos showing her editing the piece at her computer and detailing her DIY operation, and today (June 29) she has previewed a short clip from some unidentified visual.

The video shows M.I.A. with her name emblazoned in yellow¬†3D graphics on the screen, as she declares, “I’m M.I.A. I don’t need any audition,” over a clanging future-boom-bap beat. She made no mention of whether this is related to that music video that was deemed too controversial for release, or if it’s part of that three-song mixtape-short film combo she’s working on. But anyway, it’s some new Maya to chew on as we wait for an update. [UPDATE: Looks like the project is¬†called Matahdatha?]
