The Idolator editors review and rate Demi Lovato's "Cool For The Summer" out of 10.

Demi Lovato means business this era! The 22-year-old hired Max Martin to produce new single “Cool For The Summer” and sexed up her image with saucy lyrics about tasting cherries. Happily, those moves are already paying dividends with the irresistible anthem reaching number one on iTunes in a matter of hours. With an eye-popping video and a promo blitz on the way, this is shaping up to be the biggest hit of the Disney diva’s career.

And it’s only the beginning. The former teen queen promised many more surprises on her “provocative” new album in an interview with Ryan Seacrest. Demi then revealed that she’s working with Dr. Luke during a chat with Elvis Duran. “I think this will be definitely a game changer for me,” she said. Speaking of A-List collaborators, there’s also a good chance of Bonnie McKee being involved in the album. When I spoke with the hit songwriter earlier this week, she told me that she had already submitted songs for the project.

Will this be Demi’s first number one single? Let us know below, or by hitting us up on Facebook and Twitter!
