One Direction Launch “Action/1D” Global Initiative Campaign
When they’re not promoting a new perfume or finishing up their fifth album, One Direction is busy supporting great causes. The UK boy band’s latest charitable venture, titled “action/1D manifesto,” is part of a bigger campaign that aims to end poverty, inequality and combat global warming.
The motive behind the campaign is claiming 2015 as the year that we as global citizens will finally come together to solve these problems. The “Night Changes” band shared this statement with fans:
“One Direction has teamed up with Action 2015 to help bring about global change and make a difference in tackling some of the world’s most pressing issues. Would you like to see a world without poverty? Or see more efforts to tackle climate change? Whatever your vision, the guys want to know. Over the next few months, the band will be leading the initiative to get our voices heard on a global scale.”
