7 Questions With Havana Brown
We spoke to Australian DJ Havana Brown about big bananas and new music.

Australian singer/DJ Havana Brown teams up with “Hey Mama” vocalist Bebe Rexha and dance music producer Savi on new single “Battle Cry” (due July 24 via Island Records). The 30-year-old unveiled the western-themed artwork on Facebook today (July 8) and promised to deliver a whole new sound. The news comes a couple of weeks after the arrival of buzz track “Bullet Blowz” — a killer collaboration with Kronic.

The striking hitmaker landed her first US hit in 2012 with Pitbull-assisted club-banger “We Run The Night.” It climbed all the way to number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the first of four number one dance hits for the diva. (“Big Banana,” “Flashing Lights” and “Warrior” are the others). Havana’s debut LP was released in Australia and New Zealand in 2013 — it arrived in Japan last year — but still hasn’t dropped stateside. That should change if “Battle Cry” takes off.
