Sam Bruno leaves it all behind in the video for 'Paper Towns' anthem "Search Party."

Sam Bruno’s debut single “Search Party” was met with near-universal praise when it arrived in late May. The newcomer’s ability to effortlessly blend mellow electronica with pop hooks and hip-hop swagger made her an instant blog favorite — and that songwriting credit on Kanye West’s “The One” added extra credibility. However, she remained something of mystery and seemingly did not exist online before dropping her killer Paper Towns soundtrack cut.

The buzz artist opens up in a little in the behind-the-scenes video of her Helium EP photo shoot. “The concept for this photo shoot is 1970s polaroid,” Sam explains. She captures that aesthetic perfectly with vintage clothes, cars and an old-fashioned diner. The “Search Party” singer then talks about her career. “I love music — it’s an incredible way to express myself and this is honestly a dream that I’m living out.” Watch the video, which features snippets of new music, up top.
