Jordin Sparks Hits The Desert For Exotic “Right Here Right Now” Video
Six years have passed since Jordin Sparks dropped her sophomore LP, but — after several twists and turns (and a mixtape called #ByeFelicia) — the 25-year-old appears to be back on track. Produced by Salaam Remi and LALeakers, “Right Here Right Now” is the second single from the American Idol winner’s similarly-titled third LP (due August 21). And like lead single/Instagram anthem “Double Tap,” it’s something of a departure.
The slinky track effortlessly blends world music sounds with chunky hip-hop beats to create something that really stands out from the stale club-bangers on urban radio. Jordin dropped the video tonight (July 9) and it’s a suitably exotic affair that finds her looking gorgeous in the desert. She performs the song surrounded by belly dancers and is then worshipped by a crew of shirtless dudes. Watch the sultry visual up top.
