Selena Gomez‘s upcoming album (her debut for Interscope Records) is shaping up to be one of the more mature pop projects for this year, and her latest teaser continues to drive that motive.

The “Good For You” popstress posted yet another preview on Instagram, which shows her recording in a makeshift studio amongst friends. The vintage and grainy-looking clip (Lana Del Rey‘s impact!) finds Selena lamenting over an unexpectedly eerie and somber melody that seems to be electronica and avant garde-inspired.

In a recent interview wit iHeartRadio, Selena revealed: “I think I am turning into a young woman, so this is the next phase in my life, and I think it is important for me to take control over it. [Fans] can expect a lot of insight on my perception of things. I think it shows a lot, not just about love.” If these previews and “Good For You” are any indication, then the singer’s forthcoming LP will be her strongest and most vulnerable yet.
