Brooke Hogan Is Back And Has Gone Full Country: Listen To New Single “Girlfriend”
If you’ve been pining away for new music from Brooke Hogan since the heydays of her R&B-pop productions (courtesy of the now down-and-out Scott Storch) and 2009’s The Redemption (surely you didn’t forget the iconic cover art of that opus?), then you’re in luck — she’s gone full country, and her brand new single “Girlfriend” just hit iTunes today.
According to the onetime Brooke Knows Best VH1 starlet, her TV career actually caused her musical aspirations to suffer.
“It was more family-oriented and more around my dating life, and the music thing fell by the wayside,” she told Morgantown’s The Exponent Telegram recently, while discussing her change in sound and her new life in Nashville. “I ended up going country because I do love it and because that’s the essence of what this place is all about.”
