Kelly Clarkson Covers Tori Kelly’s “Nobody Love” On The Opening Night Of Her ‘Piece By Piece’ Tour
Kelly Clarkson kicked off her Piece By Piece Tour in Hershey, Pennsylvania on Saturday night (July 11) and performed a selection of hits and tracks from her new LP. The 33-year-old also delighted fans with a cover of Tori Kelly’s breakthrough hit “Nobody Love.” She introduced the song by praising the newcomer’s vocal talent. “I’m a huge fan of this artist,” the inaugural American Idol raved. “Not many people can sing well live and this girl is nailing it.”
The “Heartbeat Song” hitmaker then showed off the full range of her famous pipes with a brilliant rendition of the Max Martin-produced hit. Fans were blown away by Kelly’s cover — and so was Tori. “This is so awesome 2 me,” she tweeted. “Thanks @kelly_clarkson for the shoutout & for being such a real artist. she killed my song.” The pop icon will perform a different cover version at every stop on the tour. Yet another reason to catch her show!
