Shawn Mendes Performs New Hit “Stitches” On ‘Live With Kelly & Michael’: Watch
Shawn Mendes brought his guitar along to Live With Kelly & Michael this morning (July 15) and performed a stripped-back version of new single “Stitches.” The 16-year-old did a great job with the song — showing why he’s one of the very few social media sensations to make the leap to credible pop star. The catchy track, which reveals a gloomier side of the Canadian’s squeaky clean personality, is shaping up to be something of a smash.
“Stitches” is currently sitting at number 55 on the Billboard Hot 100, but should climb a lot higher with healthy downloads (it’s just outside the top 20 on iTunes) and big adds on pop radio. It’s the third hit from Shawn’s chart-topping debut LP Handwritten after debut single “Life Of The Party” and upbeat follow-up “Something Big.” Watch the talented teen in action up top.
