We rounded up a dozen album that came and went so far this year.

For a second week, it’s OMI‘s inescapable summer jam “Cheerleader” that rules the Billboard Hot 100, holding off the rapidly advancing “Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd, which as of this week is the #2 song in the country. In fact, The Weeknd is having quite a field day, as his other single, “The Hills,” moves up to #10.

To date, The Weeknd has appeared in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 twice before: via his feature on Ariana Grande‘s “Love Me Harder” (#7) and with his Fifty Shades Of Grey soundtrack hit “Earned It” (#3).

Meanwhile, on the Top 200, Tyrese‘s sixth album Black Rose becomes his first to top the main album chart. Billboard reports that the LP moved 77,000 units.

Tyrese also has the distinction of starring in one of the year’s top-grossing films, Furious 7, which has earned over $350 million at the US box office alone.

Do you think The Weeknd will bump OMI off the top of the Hot 100 soon? Let us know your thoughts below, or by hitting us up on Twitter and Facebook.
