This Is Going To Be Interesting! Miley Cyrus Will Host The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards
Miley Cyrus is hosting the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards! The 22-year-old made the announcement via a typically irreverent Instagram post. “Fuck yeah VMAs!!!!! #VMAs on @MTV Aug 30 at 9pm,” she captioned side-by-side pics of her dressed in a green alien suit. It’s an inspired choice given the Bangerz diva’s iconic 2013 appearance, which brought us foam fingers, tongue-poking and white-girl twerking.
It will be interesting to see how Miley can top that historical pop culture moment, but knowing her obsession with weed, body hair and gratuitous nudity — she’ll give it a good shot. The hitmaker’s hosting gig will also provide a rare opportunity for the holy Disney trinity to reunite given the attendance of Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.
