CRUISR‘s summer jam “Throw Shade” is way pop-rockier than we expected from a band utilizing the word “cruise” in their name and borrowing from the ancient art of drag queen insult-slinging for a song title, but kudos to these Philly gents nonetheless for crafting one of the catchiest cuts of the season.
In fact, remember when Snow Patrol put out that really great, unforgettably upbeat single “Spitting Games” 11 years ago, before they got all super-serious and started recording dirges for Grey’s Anatomy soundtracks? This song is that good.
