Demi Lovato’s “Cool For The Summer” Gets Deconstructed In Dark And Dreamy VARA Remix: Listen
It’s all coming together nicely for Demi Lovato. New single “Cool For The Summer” is exploding on pop radio and slowly inching its way up iTunes (the Max Martin-produced anthem is now hovering just outside the top 20). With the sultry video due on Thursday (July 23) and a wave of promotion on the way, chart domination seems like an inevitability. Particularly with a killer remix package arriving this week.
Dance legend Toddy Terry got the ball rolling with an old-school house remix, while Los Angeles-based newcomer VARA takes “Cool For The Summer” in an edgier direction with a dark and dreamy electro-house/poolside lounge overhaul. It cleverly deconstructs the sexy pop song with the use of warped atmospherics and new backing vocals courtesy of the remixer. Check it out below.
