There are no hints that we can detect of the next James Bond theme song in the brand new trailer for upcoming 007 film Spectre (in theaters November 6 in the US), but we do get quite a flew glimpses of the movie’s cast and ideas on the key plot points.

Back for a fourth outing as super spy Bond is Daniel Craig, whose former boss M (Judi Dench), as we know, met her end in the series’ previous entry, Skyfall. Replacing her is Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes) as the new MI6 chief, who questions 007 about a recent “holiday” trip to Mexico City for Day Of The Dead festivities that resulted in a what appears to be a deadly explosion.

From there, the British spy attempts to disappear underground after receiving a mysterious message that leads to an encounter with the criminal organization SPECTRE and new Bond baddie Franz Oberhauser, played by two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz.

In a recent interview with the BBC, director Sam Mendes, give a kernel of information about Spectre‘s theme song.

“I can say that the song’s been recorded and it’s fantastic and I’m very excited about it,” Mendes told the BBC. “You won’t have to wait long.”

Rumored to be singing the latest Bond theme: Sam Smith and/or Ellie Goulding.
