They say revenge is a dish best served cold, which could explain why Katy Perry waited until now to slam Taylor Swift for thinly-veiled diss track “Bad Blood.” She commented on the 1989 diva’s (embarrassing) Twitter exchange with Nicki Minaj over MTV Video Music Awards nominations, tweeting: “Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman.”

Of course, Taylor accused Nicki of pitting women against each other when the rapper pondered aloud why “Anaconda” was snubbed in the Video Of The Year category. “I’ve done nothing but love & support you,” the former country queen tweeted yesterday (July 21). “It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.” As for capitalizing “on the take down of a woman” part of Katy’s tweet, that pretty much sums up writing a song about a female rival and then making sure everyone knows about it by telling Rolling Stone.

Interestingly, Katy also called out MTV for overlooking Rihanna’s controversial “Bitch Better Have My Money” video. “The real travesty is where is the shine for #BBHMMVideo when VMA eligibility period was 7/7/14-7/1/15 & that gem dropped 7/1,” she tweeted. See the pop queen’s fiery tweets below.
