July came and went with no sign of a Frank Ocean album/magazine titled Boys Don’t Cry. But something seems to be afoot.

Over the weekend, Ocean’s brother Ryan Breaux trolled everyone by posting Ocean’s original teaser photo on Instagram along with the caption “Its finally out! Link in my bio 🔥.” That link was a textbook RickRoll, directing to the iTunes page for Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.” But today (August 3), there was a flash of activity on Ocean’s site (//boysdontcry.co/). Pigeons & Planes noticed the site temporarily redirected users to a password-protected store. But just as soon as the news hit, the the secure portal vanished and instead the URL directed to a site featuring that initial teaser image and the date, time and temperature at your login location, with the VIDS and AUDIO sections of the site inactive.

Back in May, Ocean uploaded a zero-track playlist to his Soundcloud page before removing it. Whether these are clues or just tech fuck-ups, they’re stirring up an already impatient Twitter contingent waiting for the Channel Orange follow-up.
