Sam Smith Goes Unrecognized As He Photobombs Local News Segment: Watch
This week, the National Park Service named Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre a national monument. It’s a deserving achievement; the naturally-formed, open-air concert venue (capacity: 9,500) miraculously sits in between large rocks and has hosted concerts for nearly a century.
It’s also why Sam Smith was able to photobomb a Denver news segment, without being recognized. ABC 7 was interviewing two young women about how they’ve done yoga at Red Rocks, when Smith walks up and swings from a railing. When he gives one woman bunny ears, the other turns around, forces a smile and actually says, “Get outta here.” Not even the reporter recognized the Grammy-winning singer, even though he would perform a concert at Red Rocks later that day.
