Hailee Steinfeld’s “Love Myself”: Listen To The ‘Pitch Perfect’ Star’s Irresistible Debut Single

In 2010, a then-13-year-old Hailee Steinfeld was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her tune as Mattie Ross in Joel and Ethan Coen‘s remake of True Grit. Half a decade later, Steinfeld, now 18, showed off her vocal chops in spring box office hit Pitch Perfect 2 and appeared in Taylor Swift‘s celeb-packed “Bad Blood” video. So, duh — the next obvious step is trying out a pop career.

Hailee’s debut single under her contract with Republic is the uplifting pop gem “Love Myself,” which comes courtesy of co-writers Julia Michaels (Fifth Harmony, Demi Lovato) and Justin Tranter (Semi Precious Weapons, Selena Gomez) and producers Mattman & Robin (Carly Rae Jepsen). With that type of pedigree behind the track, you’d hope for it to be a decent pop offering…and the good news is that it is.

Give Hailee’s debut single a listen above, because self-empowerment hasn’t sounded this euphoric in quite a long time.
