After postponing a handful of dates on her MTrain Tour due to a hemorrhage on her vocal cords, Meghan Trainor has now canceled the remainder of the tour so that she can undergo surgery to fully repair the hemorrhage. In a note to fans, Trainor revealed that a recent bout of bronchitis exacerbated the issue, to the point where she now needs to go under the knife “to finally fix this once and for all.”

“I am devastated, scared and so sorry,” she wrote on Instagram. “I am determined to do what it takes to get better and come back around stronger than ever.” Trainor follows in the footsteps of Sam Smith and Jess Glynne, who both underwent throat surgery this year to fix damaged vocal cords and subsequently had to cancel tour dates.
