According to reports, an autopsy has confirmed that the body of a male found Monday (August 10) near the Poughkeepsiee Yacht Club in New York’s Hudson River is that of Ian Jones, 32, boyfriend of Annie Lennox‘s daughter, Tali Lennox-Fructhmann, 22.

Authorities note that Jones and Lennox-Fruchtmann went kayaking on Saturday, August 8, when the kayak overturned. They were roughly 75 miles north of New York City, says the Associated Press. Neither of the two was said to be wearing a life jacket, and while Lennox-Fruchtmann was rescued shortly after by a passing boat, Jones’ body went missing until two days later.

Last night Tali posted a photo with Ian on Instagram and stated, “My heart is shattered. My best friend, my soul mate, my partner in crime & creativity, the LOVE & LIGHT of my life is no longer with me. All the love that has been sent to me is giving me the strength to get through this. I know that he is so so happy that I was safely rescued. Let us honor & celebrate this beautiful soul & keep following the light.”

According to ET, the Dutchess County Sherff’s Office reports that the autopsy on Jones’ body revealed no injuries or trauma, and his death has been ruled an accidental drowning. Toxicology test results won’t be known for several weeks.
