Watch Fetty Wap perform "Trap Queen" with Taylor Swift.

Fetty Wap interview is a thing to behold, part awestruck noob soaking up his unlikely and rapid fame, part extended sigh of relief after years of struggle. For his latest chat, the New Jersey rapper sat down with Big Boy to talk about his rise, and eventually the conversation veered to his performance with Taylor Swift, whom Fetty called “a real cool person.”

“The whole time she wasn’t even talking about no music,” he told Big Boy. “We were just talking about regular life.” And apparently she offered him some career advice that he hadn’t received before. I hope he took notes, though, because they didn’t exchange numbers.

“I don’t like taking girls’ numbers that have a boyfriend,” Fetty said. “I don’t be getting nobody’s number. Only Kanye’s, Drake. K. Camp, Ty Dolla $ign.”

Both Kanye and Drake early on gave Fetty major co-signs — Kanye brought him on stage during a New York City show in February, and in May Drake hopped onto the remix of “My Way.” And it sounds like there’s more on the way from Fetty and Drizzy, as he hinted that the two of them have “something big coming up.”

Check out the 13:00 mark for the Taylor-Drake convo.
