Justin Bieber And Kehlani Featured In Khalil’s “Future”: Listen
Back in May, rising R&B singer Khalil teased snippets of what sounded like a Justin Bieber and Kehlani duet. Apparently, he couldn’t wait any longer to release the song — because, turns out, it’s his.
Last night (August 14) Khalil released “Future,” produced by Rex Kudo and Charlie Handsome. While Khalil doesn’t appear for long on his own track, the song is still worth hearing. Bieber and Kehlani are convincing as they sing about being in relationship limbo, debating whether to stay together or not. Plus, “Future” actually sounds more like a ’90s R&B radio throwback, with its low-key mix of snares and acoustic guitar melodies — never mind that Kehlani was recently pegged an alt-R&B woman about to pop.
