Britney Spears May Reportedly End Her Las Vegas Residency
Bad news for all Britney Spears fans — the singer may reportedly end her Las Vegas residency. The entertainer revealed the news to E! last night (August 16) on the Teen Choice Awards red carpet where she explained that her “Britney: Piece Of Me” performance tenure may not be renewed.
“I’m not really sure. I haven’t made up my mind. I really love doing the show. It’s a lot, a lot of fun but I’m kind of torn right now. I don’t really know what I want to do,” she unveiled before the awards show.
If the news is true, it comes as good timing as a ninth album from Britney is currently in talks — despite the announcement of the Vegas shows being extended through 2017 back in March.
But many fans are looking forward to new music from the popstress, and she is ready to deliver. “We’re having fun right now. I’m working with some women who are amazing writers. I have ballads and, of course, dance music — fun cheeky sexy stuff,” she explained.
If the singer does decide to end her Vegas deal, her shows will pick back up in October and run through New Year’s. She only has a short amount of time to decide!
