Watch Alessia Cara Cover Drake’s “Hotline Bling”
Alessia Cara‘s debut Four Pink Walls EP drops next week, but the world has still only heard one single from the Canadian teen. But the lack of a “Here” follow-up hasn’t affected the buzz, partly because she has delivered a few stellar performances in the meantime, including a cover of Taylor Swift‘s “Bad Blood” for the BBC. And now she takes on that other pillar of 2015 pop, Drake, with an acoustic performance of his summery cha cha “Hotline Bling.”
Cara did the cover for Sydney TV’s Channel V, turning it into an acoustic campfire plea with more of a bleeding heart than Drizzy’s original. Watch it below.
