Kelly Clarkson, a.k.a. the unofficial queen of pop covers, have put her spin on almost every song under the sun — including Lana Del Rey‘s “Off To The Races,” Rihanna‘s “Stay” and Miley Cyrus“Wrecking Ball.”

The Piece By Piece singer’s latest live cover is Demi Lovato‘s “Cool For The Summer,” which she sung as a tribute for the fellow popstress’ 23rd birthday (it’s today!) at her Staples Center concert in Los Angeles.

“She’s always been so supportive and so cool. To see a kid that used to go to my shows have this huge, lustrous career…she’s just killin’ it. I thought I would, for her birthday, sing her new single ‘Cool For The Summer,'” Kelly explained. The singer’s rendition of the energetic pop single was more toned down and paired with piano notes and an acoustic guitar.

That same night was also a big one for Kelly, as she announced to the audience that she is pregnant with her second child! Watch the fun “Cool For The Summer” cover below.
