Well, that didn’t take long. Within a matter of a year and a half, Grammy winner Jess Glynne has tied with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini — formerly known as Cheryl Cole and Cheryl Tweedy — for being the British solo female act with the most chart-topping singles in the UK. Both Jess and Cheryl have five #1s to their respective credits.

Today sees Glynne’s latest single, “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself,” topping the chart in her home country, giving her a fifth #1. Jess’ first single to reach the top in the UK was “Rather Be,” just 18 months ago.

By comparison, it took onetime Girls Aloud member Cheryl five years, between 2009 and 2014, to rack up her stretch of five chart-topping singles. But to be fair, three of the songs Glynne counts as #1s are singles by other artists that she featured on, while Cheryl was the lead artist on all five of her own chart-toppers.

The common factor between the two singers? They each have collaborations with rapper Tinie Tempah that topped the UK chart.
