Bleachers' anthemic "Like A River Runs" gets a lively new tour video.

Charli XCX and Bleachers have canceled the rest of their Charli and Jack Do America tour. The reason why, as both parties make clear, is the Sucker singer herself.

Last night (August 21), Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff announced the cancellation. “Was all geared up for leg 2 of the tour when we got a call from charli’s camp that she couldn’t continue on the tour. came as a bit of a shock to me as I’m sure it is to you right now,” Antonoff says.

He adds that the Bleachers team couldn’t figure out how to proceed with the co-headlining dates “without it being sloppy.” Fortunately, the indie rock band’s solo dates, including his own New Jersey festival Shadow of the City, are still on.

Charli XCX then issued her own statement. “Sometimes touring really puts me in this isolated world where I feel down and sad but primarily I struggle to multitask and write songs at the same time which is what I need to do to feel OK,” she says. “I never want to do a show where I just feel like I’m going through the motions.”

She sums all this up by citing “personal” reasons, just as she did when she canceled five concerts back in June — ironically, when she and Bleachers added the now-cancelled second leg to their joint tour.
