The Weeknd dances on his own grave.

The Weeknd is about to get a shitload of bandwagon fans when his pop power play Beauty Behind The Madness drops on Friday (August 28). And perhaps hoping to ensnare new fans looking to dig into his back catalog, or loyal completist stans, Republic Records is officially releasing his three breakout 2011 mixtapes on vinyl for the first time.

Yes, this is the second time The Weeknd is giving fans a chance to pay for music that he originally released for free digitally: House Of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes Of Silence were packaged together as Trilogy, his first commercial release, in 2012. That release also tacked one new song onto each tape (“Twenty Eight” for House Of Balloons, “Valerie” for Thursday and “Till Dawn (Here Comes The Sun)” for Echoes Of Silence) resulting in a huge 30-track project. These new vinyls dispense with the Trilogy branding, giving each 2011 mixtape an individual release with the original artwork. However, judging by the House Of Balloons cover art up top, these reissues do include those bonus songs.

The House Of Balloons 2xLP is currently available at sites like Turntable Lab and Amoeba Music, with the other two apparently dropping on September 11. You’re not a true pop star until you get fans to pay for the same music twice.
