Nick Jonas Is Working With Purity Ring’s Corin Riddick On New Music
Now this is a little unexpected! Nick Jonas hit the studio with one-half of hugely experimental synth-pop duo Purity Ring last night (August 25). “Amazing session tonight with Corin [Riddick] from one of my favorite groups @PURITY_RING tonight,” the “Levels” hitmaker tweeted. “Can’t wait for you all to hear this new music.” The idea of the coolest JoBro’s smooth vocals colliding with the vast, quasi-hallucinogenic soundscape of the Canadian outfit boggles the mind. In a good way.
It’s unclear, however, if the track is for the rumored rerelease of Nick’s 2014 self-titled LP or its follow-up. We know the Kingdom actor has been has other new tracks up his sleeve (he performed an upbeat jam called “Under You” at the iHeartMedia Music Summit) and this new session indicates that he’s still busy recording. Has the 22-year-old’s new era already begun or could this even be a vocal for a new Purity Ring track? See Nick’s tweet below.
