Move over, J.K. Rowling. Take a seat, Harper Lee. Mariah Carey is about to become the new queen of the library! The legendary diva has penned a children’s book based on 1994 hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and it’s due to revolutionize publishing on November 10. Illustrated by Colleen Madden, the future Pulitzer Prize winner tells the story of a girl who really wants a puppy from Santa. (I’m assuming there’s a plot twist or something).
With a book on the way and that Christmas movie/variety special in the can, it’s fair to say that Mimi is taking over the holidays. The impact of “All I Want For Christmas” can’t be overstated. The 45-year-old’s seasonal standard has sold 14 million copies around the globe, which makes it one of the best-selling singles of all time. The fact that it re-enters the charts on a yearly basis also speaks volumes on its timeless quality.
