New Find: Alex Maxwell's "Drive"
Alex Maxwell makes a great first impression with gloomy debut single "Drive."

Among the midst of heavyweight pop stars that Idolator typically covers, we occasionally stumble upon some pretty awesome musical gems that emerge from the usual realm. The latest comes from Sultan + Shepard, whose Kreesha Turner-assisted “Bring Me Back” single we are premiering today (September 4).

The Canadian electronic duo aim to kick off your Labor Day weekend the right way, thanks to the new tune’s piano-laden melody, progressive house rhythms, soaring synths and delicate vocals that will put listeners in a free-spirited party mode. Now, where is our cocktail to top the feeling all off?

After co-writing for David Guetta on his Bad” track and being nominated for a Grammy in 2014, Sultan + Shepard kicked off 2015 by releasing “Make Things Right” with Canadian indie-pop duo Tegan and Sara — which was followed by a collaboration with Hook N Sling (“Don’t Let Me Down”) soon after.

Take a listen to “Bring Me Back” below.
