After breaking down in tears at the end of his MTV VMAs performance, Justin Bieber is still out to prove he’s a real boy with real emotions. So in a new interview with Australia’s KIIS 1065, Bieber opens up about his prior relationships (code for: Selena Gomez), saying his past heartbreak has transformed him into a cuffer who wants to be spooned.

“I haven’t been in a relationship in a while now,” he told the radio show. “I’m a relationship type of guy. I love to be in love, love cuddling. I love all that stuff.”
And while he insists he’s happy living the single life for now, he added: “I got my heart broken. So I’m just trying to let that heal up.”
