Jennifer Lopez To Perform New Latin-Pop Single “El Mismo Sol” At iHeartRadio Music Festival
Jennifer Lopez is the latest superstar to sign on for the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas later this month. (Previously announced performers include Kanye West, Janet Jackson, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith, Nick Jonas and The Weeknd). The ultimate triple threat hits the stage on night two (September 19) and has a special treat in store for fans — namely, the first live performance of new Latin-pop single “El Mismo Sol.”
A collaboration with Spanish newcomer Alvaro Soler, the original version of “El Mismo Sol” was a massive hit across Europe earlier this year — topping the charts in Italy and Switzerland. The track has now been carefully reworked for the US market with the addition of Spanglish lyrics and J.Lo’s angelic vocals. There’s no word yet if catchy anthem is a stand-alone single or an early taste of the pop diva’s ninth LP. It’s a great sound for her regardless. Listen below.
