Jessica Mauboy Embraces Drum & Bass On “This Ain’t Love”: Listen To The Aussie Diva’s New Single

Jessica Mauboy switches it up on new single “This Ain’t Love.” Co-written with Carl Ryden and David Sneddon, the furious club-banger finds the Aussie diva experimenting with drum & bass — very successfully. “I don’t feel and nothing hurts,” she wails over production normally associated with British artists like Rudimental. “‘Cause this ain’t love that I feel.” It’s easily her best track since “Inescapable” and could do some damage internationally.

“This Ain’t Love” is the first taste of Jessica’s still-untitled fourth LP. Her last effort, 2013’s Beautiful, peaked at number three in Australia and sold platinum — so expectations are understandably high for the follow-up. As much as I love that album (particularly moody, DNA-produced ballad “Never Be The Same”), it’s nice to hear the 26-year-old embrace a more contemporary sound. Listen to hitmaker’s catchy new anthem below.
