Tamar Braxton unveils the cover and tracklist of new LP 'Calling All Lovers.'

Tamar Braxton’s third LP Calling All Lovers was recently pushed back a couple of weeks (from September 11 to October 2), which is a shame because all of the new tracks sound great. Lead single “If I Don’t Have You” was a little undercooked, but uptempo buzz track “Catfish” is an unexpectedly catchy bop and power ballad “King” hits all the right notes. The 38-year-old debuted the latter on The Real and knocked it out of the park.

Dressed in a sequined jumpsuit with a long, flowing cape (only Tamar), the underrated R&B diva performed “King” on top of a white baby grand. It looked like an SNL skit — until the Love And War hitmaker opened her mouth and took the audience to church with a powerful rendition. “Let my love, love surround you and let my love, love bring you back,” she crooned. “Fear not ’cause I’ll be with you all the way.” Watch up top.
