LunchMoney Lewis And Chloe Angelides’ Retro “Whip It!” Video
LunchMoney Lewis made the leap from songwriter-for-hire to break-out pop star earlier this year with “Bills.” The Ricky Reed-produced anthem soared to number one in Australia, peaked at number two in the UK and performed well across Europe. After taking the shortest of breaks, the 27-year-old now follows it up with an equally infectious anthem. Assisted by Chloe Angelides, “Whip It!” is bouncy blend of hip-hop and disco that is destined to become a party staple.
The track is already starting to gain traction in the UK and Australia, and should really take off with the arrival of the video. A modern twist on American Bandstand, the cute visual finds Lunch and Chloe performing the track on a local TV show. They are surrounded by dancers (and bottles of CORE Water — get that promo, Dr. Luke!), who steal the show with their eye-popping moves. How long before pop radio starts spinning this gem stateside?
