AlunaGeorge Are “Automatic”: Hear The Duo’s Collab With ZHU

While the lack of new tunes might suggest otherwise, AlunaGeorge have been busy this year. The British poptronica pair recently appeared on that Jack Ü album and they’ll be heading off on tour in a few days. And now they’ve hooked up with mysterious producer ZHU — you’ve probably heard his Grammy-nominated dance hit “Faded,” and might know his remix of Lana Del Rey‘s “West Coast” — so they’re definitely up to something.

Singer Aluna Francis says the collab came about because she was obsessed with locating and linking up with the once-anonymous artist. And it was worth the effort, marrying a trebly beat, wobbly bass and hollow piano chords with Francis’ unmistakable vocals for a sparse dance workout that unexpectedly ends with a saucy sax solo.

The song is part of ZHU’s Genesis System project, which also features A-Trak, Skrillex and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Listen below.
