Drake And Future Announce Joint Mixtape ‘What A Time To Be Alive’
UPDATE: It’s out! Stream it here, or at the bottom of this post.
Our suspicions were correct: Yesterday (September 19), Drake and Future announced their joint mixtape What a Time to Be Alive. Better yet, Drake’s Beats 1 show OVO Sound Radio is hosting the first listen today (September 20) at 6 p.m. EST.
Drake and Future’s relationship dates back to 2012, when Future featured Drake in early hit “Tony Montana.” The two of them have had their fair share of misunderstandings, like when Future criticized Drake’s third album Nothing Was the Same, for Drake to reportedly consider booting him off his Would You Like a Tour? But they’ve since smoothed things over, fittingly, via music. Future featured Drake in his last two releases, 2014’s Honest (interlude “Never Satisfied”) and 2015’s No. 1 DS2 (Beyonce–approved “Where Ya At” — the album’s lone guest verse).
See Drake and Future’s announcements for What a Time to Be Alive below, then head over to OVO Sound Radio for the live broadcast debut.
