Duran Duran Interview
The iconic British pop band discuss new album 'Paper Gods' & their collaborators.

The Weeknd continues to rule the land (or at least the album chart) for a third week week, as his latest LP Beauty Behind The Madness stays at #1 on the Billboard 200 yet again. The album, which contains the top single in the country, “Can’t Feel My Face,” moved another 99,000 units, though while its streams remain high, it was outsold by Bring Me The Horizon‘s That’s The Spirit, which tops the Album Sales Chart but goes in at #2 on the Billboard 200. (Billboard’s main album chart factors in both streams and sales.)

Meanwhile, we recently called Duran Duran‘s 14th studio album Paper Gods the “the best damn thing they’ve done since their self-titled 1993 LP,” and it seems as if music buyers agree. Paper Gods debuts at #10, marking Simon Le Bon & Co.’s first appearance in the US Top 10 since 1993, when their said second self-titled LP — widely known as The Wedding Album — peaked at #7. The British band rode a major comeback 22 years ago with the latter, thanks to the LP’s hit singles “Ordinary World” and “Come Undone.” (Check out Idolator’s Backtracking feature on The Wedding Album.)
