Pharrell Says A New N.E.R.D. Album Is On The Way
Pharrell‘s beloved side project N.E.R.D. has been the one aspect of his career resurgence in the last couple years that has stayed relatively dormant. While he skyrocketed to superstar solo status and reestablished himself as a blockbuster producer, N.E.R.D only resurfaced for some forgettable material for the SpongeBob Movie. But when Pharrell played a previously unreleased N.E.R.D. cut on his Beats 1 show last month, excitement for the genre-bending project was once again reignited.
And on Tuesday (September 22), Pharrell said his band will be releasing another album. Unfortunately, he didn’t share any details. During a Q&A takeover of iHeartRadio’s Twitter account, he was asked “Are you going to make another NERD album.” See his response below:
OF COURSE! https://t.co/1kj7I4EoMd

Of course, because no one ever really dies.
Any new full-length would be the band’s fifth album, and their first since 2010’s Nothing.
