'Scream Queens' Premiere: Recap
Ariana Grande & Nick Jonas get slain in the first episode...maybe?

Whether or not you watched the two-hour premiere of Scream Queens on Tuesday (September 22) night or read our recap of the episode, you know Ariana Grande got bumped off by the Fox series’ Red Devil killer and Nick Jonas appeared to have been killed. But not so fast — Entertainment Weekly is now reporting that both actor/pop star’s will be back for recurring roles on the show.

Scream Queens co-creator Ryan Murphy spoke to the publication about Grande’s character, Chanel No. 2, who literally live-tweeted her own death on last night’s episode.

“She comes back I believe in episode 6 and maybe more,” said Murphy. “She’s recurring definitely. Everyone thinks she’s gone but she’s not gone… I wouldn’t say ghost. Nothing you think is happening is happening on the show. You think some people are dead — they’re not dead.”

Meanwhile, Nick Jonas told EW the following about his character, frat bro Boone: “I can tell you that he is a part of the team of people involved in this master revenge plan. His history with it goes very, very deep.”

As far as Tuesday night ratings go, Scream Queens (4 million viewers) struggled when pitted against the competition, and finished in fourth place behind CBS’ NCIS, NBC’s The Voice and fellow newcomer The Muppets (8.9 million), which aired on ABC.
