Annie Returns With “Cara Mia”: Hear The Single Off Her New ‘Endless Vacation’ EP
It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Annie — the Norwegian electro-pop sprite spent part of 2014 being a thorn in the side of Vladimir Putin with her “Russian Kiss” protest song, and the year before that she released The A&R EP. But today (September 29) she announced the Endless Vacation EP, out October 16, with a promise of more new music “due in 2016.”
X-Man:: We talked to Richard X about working with Annie
The EP’s lead single is “Cara Mia,” a laid back house track that finds the singer smitten and hoping to dance in slow motion with her lover — and the song’s restrained, melodic pulse would serve as the perfect arrangement to do just that. It was produced by her longtime collaborator Richard X, and written by Annie, Richard X and Stefan Storm.
