Drake Is Full Of Shit
Kanye is hated while Drake is relatable? We don't think so.

Guess who is coming to primetime! Nicki Minaj is expanding her already-massive brand into television, as she just revealed today (September 29) that she signed a deal with ABC Family.

The “Night Is Still Young” rapstress will be executively producing (along with Sex Tape‘s Kate Angelo, Stella Bulochnikov, Boss’ Brian Sher and Gee Roberson) and appearing in a comedy series that is based on her experiences growing up in Jamaica, NY. According to Deadline, the untitled series “will
focus on Minaj’s growing up in Queens in the 1990s with her vibrant immigrant family and the personal and musical evolution that lead to her eventual rise to stardom.”

ABC Family’s EVP Programming and Development Karey Burke had this to say about working with the rapstress: “Nicki Minaj is a force to be reckoned with at everything she touches. Nicki is an international superstar, yet not everyone knows how inspiring and hilarious her true story is, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.”

“This is one of the more unique adventures I’ve ever embarked on. I couldn’t be more proud and excited to team up with an amazing group of people to give the world something really special,” Nicki stated about the new project — which is part of Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment.

The forthcoming comedy series will not mark the first time Nicki, who attended Manhattan’s LaGuardia High School, has dabbled in acting. She was casted in films like 2012’s Ice Age: Continental Drift, last year’s The Other Woman and recently scored a role in Barbershop 3 (set to be released next year. As her loyal Barbz will tell you, Minaj has a really fun sense of humor. So it will be interesting to see how she translates that into a television show.
