Daya’s Breakthrough Hit “Hide Away” Gets A Virtu Remix: Idolator Premiere
Daya ranks as one of 2015’s most exciting break-out pop artists thanks to the quality (and success) of her infinitely relatable debut single. A forever-alone anthem for the ages, “Hide Away” has already cracked the top 50 on iTunes and is slowly creeping up the pop radio airplay chart (it’s currently at number 28). When you factor in the track’s 10 million+ streams on Spotify, it’s fair to say that the 16-year-old diva has a massive hit on her hands.
We’re excited to premiere the first official “Hide Away” remix, which arrives today (October 7) courtesy of Los Angeles-based producer Virtu. “I don’t usually remix pop records but when I heard Daya’s voice I was hooked,” the Sexy Electric signee says. “She reminded me of a new-age Sia or Rihanna. When I got the a cappella I knew exactly what I wanted to do and it came together very quickly.” Listen to the killer club overhaul below.
