Giorgio Moroder and Britney Spears‘ “Tom’s Diner” cover reimagines the low-key Suzanne Vega hit into an electronic dance anthem. And now, it has an equally imaginative lyric video to match. Directed by Superbros, who also did Giorgio’s Deja Vu album artwork, the animated clip features all the hallmarks of the best ’80s design—from the cars to the digitized fonts, geometric prints and neon lights. A female silhouette meets a likeness of Giorgio, founding electronica producer, at a diner that appears straight out of Ridley Scott‘s Blade Runner.
Giorgio released this lyric video to announce that the “Tom’s Diner” remake will be the third and next Deja Vu single. Watch up top.
