Kanye West “Auditions” For ‘American Idol’ — And Jennifer Lopez Approves: Watch
American Idol seeks out the next big superstar. Whoever auditioned in San Francisco for its last season, however, would be overshadowed by Kanye West.
That’s right — this Grammy-winning artist (and presidential hopeful, Barack Obama even just gave him some advice) “auditioned” for the reality competition show this weekend. He performed “Gold Digger,” off his 2005 sophomore LP Late Registration, where he raps, “But I’m looking for the one, have you seen her? My psychic told me that she has a ass like Serena / Trina, Jennifer Lopez, four kids / and I gotta take all they bad ass to showbiz.” And he couldn’t have picked a better song, based on how judge J. Lo reacts.
