Ryan Adams executed perhaps the most deviously brilliant publicity stunt in pop music this year when he released a moody covers album of Taylor Swift‘s smash LP 1989. This thing won’t die. There were thinkpieces about it. The two musicians got together for an interview about the project. And now Adams actually interviews Swift for GQ to initiate the 1989 singularity.
