Watch President Obama Sing “Happy Birthday” To Usher

Remember Usher? He’s the guy who once released a single in boxes of Cheerios. He’s been quiet for a while, supposedly prepping a new album, but he still has enough clout to have President Obama and the First Lady sing “Happy Birthday” to him. This happened last week when Usher was at the White House as part of the 50th anniversary of the National Endowment for the Arts — a few days before Michelle Obama appeared in a video teasing Justin Bieber‘s “Sorry,” of all things.

“So this really happened the other night…… The President and First Lady sang me Happy Birthday at The White House & I got to perform for them. I couldn’t be more grateful for this moment and all of the birthday wishes from everyone. THANK YOU!!!!! #Blessed#OlderWiser” the newly 37-year-old wrote on Facebook.

As far as presidential birthday serenades go, it was decidedly unsexy. Watch below.
